Hays High's Windholz earns all-state honor

After failing to net first-team all-league honors, junior forward Jordan Windholz brought home an even bigger honor at the state level.

Windholz was named all-state honorable mention in Class 5A by the Kansas State Coaches Association.

Windholz led the team in scoring with 15 goals, which was four short of the school record, and he also posted five assists.

One of the highlights of his season came against Independence in the first round of the McPherson Invitational. In the Indians' 11-1 blowout, Windholz scored six goals -- a school record.
