Salina Speedway increases purses for 2013 season

SALINA, Kan. -- The third year of operation at the Salina Speedway since being revived will feature increased purses in six out of the seven divisions in competition.

The Belleville Motorsports IMCA Modified division will feature increased starting pay, going from $65 to start to $100 to start.

The Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Northern SportMods and the Coors Light Street Stocks both will also get increased starting pay, going from $35 to start to $50 to start.

The Auto House Mod Lites and the Budweiser IMCA Hobby Stocks both get an increase at the top and bottom. The winner will now receive $250 with second making $175 and starting pay increased to $50, compared to $225, $150, and $30 respectively the year before.

The T&R Dirt Construction Mini Stocks will see an increase starting at seventh place and dropping by $5 to 15th, where starting pay will be $35 compared to $25 last year.

The season kicks into high gear this Saturday night April 13th with the season opener. The Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Nothern SportMods, Mod Lites, IMCA Hobby Stocks, and Mini Stocks will all be in action. Hot laps are scheduled to start at 6:00PM with racing to follow.
