ASCSHARTFORD, S.D. (June 26, 2009) - Nebraska's Chad Humston picked off his second series win of the season by topping Friday night's 25-lap ASCS Midwest vs. Northern Plains feature event at I-90 Speedway.

Humston motored into the lead on a lap seven restart and held off Chuck Swenson over the final rounds to secure the victory aboard Mark Burch's Engler Machine No. 1m Wolfweld.

Swenson paced the opening rounds from the pole position as Humston worked his way forward from seventh. Up to third by the time the yellow flag appeared after six rounds, Humston swept around both Jody Rosenboom and Swenson to take the lead as action resumed.

Swenson briefly battled back in front in turns one and two on a late restart, but Humston muscled back into the lead for keeps and took the checkered flag in front of Swenson and Robby Wolfgang, who claimed the show position from 12th.

Eric Lutz earned Hard Charger honors by racing from 16th to fourth, with two-time ASCS Northern Plains champ Lee Grosz rounding out the top five.

Jason Danley raced from 18th to sixth, with Donovan Peterson, Mike Boston, 17th-starter Jake Peters and 19th-starter Ryan Bickett completing the top ten.
