TULSA, Okla. (June 20, 2009)- With heavy rains hitting the Stateline Speedway overnight and more rain forecasted for later in the day, the decision has been made to cancel the racing program for Saturday Night and move the first of two Lucas Oil ASCS Patriot Regional events at Stateline this year to next Saturday.
After being rained out at the 1/3-mile track just south of Jamestown, NY in the town of Busti last year, early precipitation made this decision easier for the Stateline staff. It will also set up one wild Saturday Next week. What was supposed to be the only off weekend remaining in the 2009 schedule will now include a fireworks display for the fans and competitors of the tight and tricky oval.
With the race now moved to June 27, the two sprint car stops at Stateline will now be just four weeks apart, with the second trip scheduled for July 25.
