ASCSMOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (June 26, 2009) - Dustin Daggett continued his domination of Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP competition on Friday by winning the 25-lap feature event at Mt. Pleasant Speedway.

Daggett took the lead after the only restart during the main event and never looked back to collect his sixth win of the 2009 season and the first repeat winner at Mt. Plesant in ASCS SOD competition driving the Mott Motorsports Gaerte powered Maxim chassis.

Steve Irwin and Ryan Ruhl started on the front row of the feature event. Irwin took the lead while Gregg Dalman and Daggett battled into second and third. Soon the trio was in lapped traffic battling three wide for the lead in turns three and four when the caution appeared for Davey Brown stopping in turn four. Daggett was able to take command of second, but his pass for the lead on Irwin was negated.

On the restart Daggett hounded Irwin for a couple of laps before Irwin slipped off the bottom in four and Daggett motored around the top with the lead. From there Dalman checked out while Irwin and Dalman maintained their positions. Meanwhile a fierce battle from fourth on back too place between Ruhl, Ryan Grubaugh, Louie Carufel, and Brett Mann.

At the finish it was all Daggett with Iriwn, Dalman, Ruhl, and Grubaugh rounding out the top five. With his third place finish Dalman moved back into the lead in the point standings going into Saturday's event at I-96 Speedway.

Grubaugh, Irwin, and Dalman won heat race events, Daggett won the dash, and Troy Chehowski won the B-Main. During the third heat race Tim Norman flipped in turn three. Norman's crew was able to make repairs in time to transfer through the B-Main.
