Races return for 3 nights in Liberal

The thrills and spills of racing return to the Fairgrounds Speedway as the United Rebel Sprint Series will be the featured Class at the Five State Fair August 3rd, 4th and 5th. Fans will be on the edge of their seats as the Winged Warriors battle for the Inaugural URSS Speedweeks Crown.
The three days of racing at the Five State Fair will be the culmination of five straight nights of racing for the Rebels. All three nights will feature complete shows with side by side racing action every lap. Panhandle Oil Services of Liberal has stepped up as a Point Fund Sponsor by putting in One Thousand Dollars to the Speedweeks point fund.
Drivers expected to appear are Liberal’s Ty Williams, Jason Martin, Taylor Velasquez, Fargo Oklahoma’s Taylor Milton, Woodward Oklahoma’s Kris Miller, Kevin Smith and Lance Davis of Sublette, Jerry and Cody Caldwell of Ulysses, Barry Crane of Hugoton along with a host of URSS Regulars.
Joining the URSS Sprint Cars will be the Modified and Factory Stock Classes and will run the Hugoton and Beaver Class rules. Races start at 7:00 pm each night so bring the entire family for some good old-fashioned entertainment at the 2008 Five States Fair, Sunday through Tuesday August 2nd - 5th.
