Special to The Hays Daily News
On Saturday, local bikers participated in the "Broken Body Parts" Poker Run to benefit Greg Thyfault.
The ride began in Hill City at Master Repair, then continued on to Aces and 8's in Plainville, Doerfler Harley Davidson in Hays, the Spot in Palco, the Happy Frog Pond Tavern in Damar, and concluded at the Graham County Fairgrounds in Hill City.
Approximately 150 people greeted Thyfault at the fairgrounds at the end of the run.
There, they enjoyed a motorcycle rodeo, DJ, a hog roast, raffle prizes and fireworks.
Thyfault said he just could not say "thank you" enough to everyone in the community for their continued support.
Thyfault was injured in a sprint car accident in late May at WaKeeney Speedway.
He spent a few days in a Wichita hospital before being transferred to a hospital in Denver for therapy. He recently returned to northwest Kansas.
GREAT JOB TO THOSE THAT ORGANIZED THE EVENT. IT WAS ENJOYED BY ALL THAT ATTENDED. WE HOPE GREG IS BETTER SOON.
