LEXINGTON, Neb. (June 15) -- The United Rebel Sprint Series made the first of two stops at the Dawson County Raceway and the fans gathered on Fathers Day weren't disappointed. In true Rebel Fashion the Series saw it sixteenth different winner in the twenty races held this Season. When the checkers flew Ransom Kansas Ken Lutters took the win in rather convincing fashion.

Hill City Kansas's Jeff Radcliffe led the field to the green and quickly jumped out to the lead with Tom Belsky, Smokey Fairbank, Ken Lutters and Bill Hays rounding out the top five. Lap two saw Smokey Fairbank take the top spot from Radcliffe and start to pull away. Lutters started making his way to the front and by lap seven had relegated Radcliffe to the third spot.

Lutters found his line and used it to power his way around Fairbank the point on lap ten. Back in the field, the "Kansas Tornado" Jon Johnson and Bill Hays battled for the fourth position until Johnson made the pass for good on lap sixteen. Johnson made quick work of Radcliffe and set his sights on Fairbank.

With the white flag flying, Johnson mad his move on a smoking Fairbank and took the second position as Radcliffe then took the third position from Hays. At the Checkers it was Lutters taking his second career URSS Feature win with Johnson, Fairbank, Jeff Radcliffe and Hays rounding out the top five.
