By the URSS

Fans of the United Rebel Sprint Series and Montana Mike's of Hays customers will have the opportunity to meet the drivers of the URSS up close and personal during the 2010 Ellis County Fair and the 3rd Annual "URSS Wheatshocker Nationals." Fans will be able to mingle with the drivers and crews at the Hays location of Montana Mike's at 3216 Vine Street on Saturday July 17th and Sunday July 18th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Drivers will be available to sign autographs and fans can have their pictures taken with the drivers and their race cars.

The event will be part of the local Montana Mike's partnership with local community events and activities. With the current economic situation, families have been forced to tighten their belts and entertainment has taken a backseat for many families. That has caused many to view that local sporting events and activities are the best place to have some good clean family fun.

Montana Mike's General Manager Scotty Rice realized there was a direct link between the patrons of Montana Mike's and those events. "We try to tie into activities that are Family Orientated and the URSS is a perfect match." Rice went on to say, "The URSS is a homegrown series that has Fathers and Sons racing against each other, crewing for each other and they feature the area's best talent, they go out each night to make sure that every fan that comes to the races gets the best show and make sure each fan is welcome to their pit after every race."

This weekends races are part of the 2010 Ellis County Fair and features a family friendly pass feature for all of the weeks Grandstand Events. A $49.00 "Family Pass" is good for two Adults and three Kids making it a great way for families in Western Kansas to provide a whole week's worth of entertainment for the entire family.

So come out Saturday July 17th and Sunday July 18th between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm and meet some of the Rebels. "The Boys Are Back In Town" during the 2010 season and you will not be disappointed by any of their shows.
