URSS adds George 'Pappy' Parson Fall Nationals to schedule

WAKEENEY -- The United Rebel Sprint Series has added two dates to their 2009 Schedule, as the Rebels will be a part of the George "Pappy" Parsons Fall Nationals. The event will be held at the Wakeeney Speedway on Saturday October 10th and Sunday October 11th. With the 2009 URSS Season winding down and the points tightening, racers from all around the region will converge on the 3/8's mile oval to gain precious points to solidify their position in the standings.

Saturday, the Fall Nationals will host the URSS Sprint Cars, along with IMCA Sport Modifieds and IMCA Stock Cars. Pits will open at 4:00 pm with racing starting at 7:00 pm. After the races there will be a dance held at the Eagles Lodge in Wakeeney with $1.00 beer with your Pit Pass armband. Racers will be competing for the regular purse on Saturday night.

Sunday, There will be a free "Hog Roast" for both Fans and Racers starting at 4:00 pm. The Fall Nationals racing card will once again host the URSS Sprint Cars, along with IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Hobby Stocks. Pits will open at 2:00 pm with racing action starting at 5:00 pm. Racers on Sunday will competing for an added purse, details will be released soon.

Admission for the 2009 George "Pappy" Parsons Fall Nationals is $8.00 for Adults, $5.00 for Children 6 to 12 and kids five and under free!
