

Museum features Parks photographs

LOGAN -- The Dane G. Hansen Memorial Museum is featuring "Gordon Parks: Crossroads," organized by art2art Circulating Exhibitions. There are 45 photographs, courtesy of the Gordon Parks Foundation and the Howard Greenberg Gallery.
Parks is a Fort Scott native and became the first black staff photographer for Life magazine and eventually one of the most influential photographers of the mid-20th century.
The January Artist of the Month is Janice Kenney of Elm Creek, Neb. Kenney has recycled old stuff, wreathes, tables and birdhouses.
Museum hours are 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays and holidays.
There is no admission fee.
