Hays High grad finishes law school

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- David C. Aschwege, son of Wayne and Ruth Ann Erickson Aschwege, Hays, graduated from Michigan State University College of Law on May 10.

Aschwege graduated summa cum laude, with his juris doctor degree. While at the law college, Aschwege was on the Law Review for two years, as the junior notes editor the second year. He was was on the negotiation team and the mediation team, and as a member of the mediation team, he went to the International Mediation Tournament in Dublin, Ireland. He helped a team from Phoenix who was short a team member and came in third in the tournament. Aschwege is a 2005 graduate of Hays High School and a December 2008 graduate of Wichita State University with an undergraduate degree in economics.

Aschwege is the grandson of Don and Marie Tally Aschwege, Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Oberlin, and the late Vern and Carol Koons Erickson.
