Baalman-Polifka
Rick and Joyce Baalman, Grinnell, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Allison Baalman, to Joel Polifka, son of Dave Polifka, Quinter, and Diane Polifka, Hays.
Grandparents are Arlen and Mary Jane Polifka, Hays, Ada Ringer, Quinter, the late Skip and Pauline Lubbers, the late Luetta Baalman, the late Richard Baalman and the late Wally Ringer.
The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Grinnell High School and a 2008 graduate of Fort Hays State University with degrees in secondary education and history. She will be high school social studies teacher at Wheatland USD 292.
The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Quinter High School and a 2004 graduate of Fort Scott Community College. He is a farmer/rancher south of Quinter.
A July 26, 2008, wedding is planned at Immaculate Conception Parish, Grinnell.
