Paul J. and Lucy Baier, Hays, celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Nov. 7, 2009, with a Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church followed by a family dinner.

Children of the couple are Susan Legleiter and husband, Ron, and Jane Schumacher and husband, Brian, all of Hays; Mary Pfeifer and husband, Steve, Victoria; and Betty Merritt and friend, Marty Johnson, Eagle, Neb.

The couple have 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.

Paul J. Baier and Lucy Schippers were married Nov. 6, 1954, at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria.
