Baker University announces spring graduates

BALDWIN CITY -- Nearly 600 undergraduate, graduate and nursing students at Baker University received their degrees during May commencement ceremonies at the Collins Center.

Baker, the first university in Kansas, is consistently listed among the top schools in the Midwest in the annual college rankings by U.S. News & World Report.

The University serves nearly 3,300 students through the College of Arts and Sciences and School of Education undergraduate programs in Baldwin City; the School of Nursing in Topeka, Kan.; the School of Professional and Graduate Studies and School of Education in Overland Park, Kan.; Topeka, Kan.; Wichita, Kan.; Kansas City, Mo.; and Lee's Summit, Mo.; and the School of Education graduate programs at various locations in the area and online.

Local students are:

Oberlin: Stephanie Bruggeman, bachelor of science in nursing.

Plainville: Abigail Jones, bachelor of arts.
