Mr. James Bauer and Ms. Stephanie Bauer, both of Larned, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Chelsea Bauer, to Ryder Eakin, son of Mr. Troy Normandin, Hays, and Mrs. Cherie and Tate Eakin, Larned.

Grandparents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Victor Vogler, Monument, Ms. Amy Bauer, Larned, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Normandin, Hays, and Mr. and Mrs. Phil Weber, Garfield.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Barton Community College with a degree in business, and Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Neb., with a specialist diploma for floral design.

The prospective bridegroom graduated from BCC natural gas program. He is employed with Eagle Communications, Hays.

A Nov. 10, 2012, wedding is planned at Faith Community Church, Great Bend.
