Douglas and Julia Brenner, Oakley, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Jessica Ren'ee Brenner, to

Christopher Ross Halbleib, son of Thomas and Heliana Halbleib, Oakley.

Grandparents of the couple are Harold Smith, Ness City, the late Maria Smith, Ben and Margaret Brenner, Beeler, Charles and Frances Goetz, Grinnell, and the late John and Elvera Halbleib.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Oakley High School and a recent graduate of Kansas State University.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of OHS and a 2008 graduate of KSU.

An Aug. 29, 2009, wedding is planned at St. Isidore Catholic Student Center, Manhattan.
