TOPEKA -- The Kansas Board of Accountancy has announced 32 candidates successfully passed the computerized examination in the January/February exam window.

As of April, 11,794 individuals have been issued CPA certificates, of which 3,951 have active permits to practice.

Passage of the national examination is the first step to becoming a certified public accountant. To be eligible to receive a permit to practice, an experience requirement first must be met.

Cameron Werth, Benjamin Schoenberger and Naglaa Peyton, all of Hays, passed the CPA exam during the January/February exam window.
