Mr. and Mrs. Alan Dearden, Scott City, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Heather Dearden, to Dustin Olsen, son of Tracy Olsen, Kearney, Neb., and Alisa Olsen, Hays.

The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Scott Community High School, Scott City, and a 2009 graduate of Fort Hays State University with a degree in general studies and emphasis in education. She is employed at N.E.W.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of Hays High School. He is employed at DSNWK Employment Connections.

A Sept. 11, 2010, wedding is planned at First United Methodist Church, Hays.
