Students graduate from Emporia State

EMPORIA -- More than 600 students were candidates for undergraduate degrees during the May 17 commencement ceremony in White Auditorium in Emporia. Students from this area and their degrees are:

Gregory Clyde Farris of Goodland, bachelor of science degree in health promotion.

Ashley Nicole Parrott of La Crosse, bachelor of science degree in health promotion with a minor in recreation.

Bethany Laree Polifka of Ellis, bachelor of science degree in sociology with a minor in crime and delinquency studies.

Cory Alan Sager of Colby, bachelor of science degree in mathematics.

Commencement speakers included Helen Van Etten of the Kansas Board of Regents. The commencement address was delivered by Ed O'Malley, president and CEO of the Kansas Leadership Center.
