Jim and Opal Flinn, Ellis, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 24, 2009, with an open house hosted by their children and spouses from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Ellis Nutrition Center.

The couple are retired from farming and running a dairy.

Children and spouses of the couple are Sheila Honeyman and husband, Marvin, Oakley, Stewart Flinn and wife, OSun, Shirleen Augustine and husband, Ray, all of Hutchinson, Steven Flinn and wife, Brenda, Overland Park, and Stanley Flinn and wife, MacKenzie, Hays.

The couple have 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Jim Flinn and Opal Hamburg were married Oct. 21, 1949, in Hays.
