Amanda Raeann Gittinger and Timothy Dale Tibbits were united in marriage April 20, 2013, at Celebration Community Church in Hays. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Pastor Kyle Ermoian.
Parents of the couple are Kendall and Marilyn Gittinger of Goodland, and John and Rosalee Tibbits of Minneapolis. Grandparents of the bride are Robert and Irene Gittinger of Kismet, and the late William and Lenora Somers of Goodland. Grandparents of the groom are Marjorie Crist of Salina; Riley and the late step-grandmother, Ethel Tibbits, of Minneapolis; the late Herman Schultz; the late step-grandfather, Mel Chestnut, and the late Annabelle (Schultz) Chestnut, all of Minneapolis.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. The matrons of honor were Laci Schrant and Rebecca Stein, friends of the bride, and best man was Tom Tibbits, brother of the groom. Bridesmaid was Christi Somers, cousin of the bride, and personal attendant was Jessica Gittinger, sister-in-law of the bride. Groomsmen were David Litchman, friend of the groom, and Tim Gittinger, brother of the bride. Flower girls were Geralyn Stein, god-daughter of the bride, and Kaylee Tibbits, niece of the groom. Ring bearers were Aiden Gittinger, nephew of the bride, and Isaiah Tibbits, nephew of the groom. Trevor Tibbits, nephew of the groom, announced the bride.
Ushers were Jason Stein and Ben Schrant, friends of the couple. Scripture readers were Cathy Bandel, friend of the bride; Kristina Litchman, friend of the groom; Darlene Timmerman, aunt of the groom; and Carol Lisowski, great-aunt of the bride.
A dinner reception and dance followed the ceremony.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Goodland High School and a 2005 graduate of Fort Hays State University. She is employed as a nurse at Hays Medical Center.
The groom is a 1996 graduate of Minneapolis High School and attended Cloud County Community College. He is employed at EnerSys of Hays.
After a honeymoon in Florida, the couple resides in Hays.
