Richard and Jane Hansen, Victoria, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Suzy Hansen, to Blaine Younger, son of Thomas and Bernadette Younger, Victoria.

Grandparents are Ione Oldham, Hays, the late F. Dale Oldham, Thayne and Joan Smith, Checotah, Okla., the late Harold D. Hansen, the late Joe J. and Magdalen Roth, and the late Jacob P. and Catherine Younger.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Victoria High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Kansas with a bachelor's degree in marketing and plans to graduate in May 2009 from KU with a bachelor's degree in accounting. She has accepted employment with RSM McGladrey, Kansas City, Mo., upon graduation.

The prospective bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of VHS and a 2002 graduate of Kansas State University with a bachelor's degree in marketing. He is owner of Younger Entertainment and a full-time singer, songwriter and musician with the Blaine Younger Band.

A July 3, 2009, wedding is planned at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Lawrence.
