Mr and Mrs. Terry Harrington, Port Huron, Mich., announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Katie Joy Harrington, to Benjamin James Tillman, son of Dr. and Mrs. Don Tillman, Hays.

Grandparents of the couple are Dolly Harrington, Mr. and Mrs. Fredrick Swigles, and Don Hay and Mildred Tillman.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Port Huron Northern and plan to graduating from Colorado Christian University in 2010. She plans to teach science at the middle school level.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of Hays High School, attended CCU and plans to graduate in May. He plans to work as an EMT while applying to medical school.

A Dec. 19, 2009, wedding is planned at Grisworld Street Baptist, Port Huron.
