Hawthorne-Kinderknecht
Steven and Vicki Hawthorne, Hays, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Erin Hawthorne, to Benjamin Kinderknecht, son of Dr. Lynn and Vera Kinderknecht, Hays.
Grandparents are Jean (Pfannenstiel) Rozell, the late Lester Pfannenstiel, the late Howard and Georgine Hawthorne, Carole Kinderknecht, the late Bill Kinderknecht, and the late Joseph and Lilian Wishnuck.
The couple have two children, Quenton and Isabella.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Hays High School and attended Fort Hays State University and Pittsburg State University. She is a homemaker.
The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Thomas More Prep-Marin High School, FHSU and the University of Kansas, and plans to attend Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences to pursue a medical degree in the fall.
An Aug. 9, 2008, wedding is planned at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays.
