Larry and Talley Hickman, Lucas, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Chelsey Jo Hickman, to Dean Alan Koehn, Quinter son of Ron and Kathy Koehn, Quinter.

Grandparents are Mary Jane Hickman, Lucas, the late Merton Hickman, Marilyn Frentress, Hayden, Colo., the late Forrest Frentress, and Ralph and Ann Brown, Mullinville, the late Dorothy (Koehn) and Melvin Schmidt, and the late Lewellen Koehn.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Lucas-Luray High School and is majoring in elementary education with a special education minor at Fort Hays State University. She will student teach in Hays in the fall and plans to graduate in December.

The prospective bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Quinter High School and is majoring in geographic information systems at FHSU. He is employed at Western Supply Co., Hays.

An Oct. 24, 2009, wedding is planned at First United Methodist Church, Hays.
