Samantha Joan Hixon and Brodie Joseph Pfannenstiel were married May 4, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Plainville, with Father Joshua Werth officiating.
Parents of the couple are Troy and Michele Hixon, Plainville, and Neil and Jo Pfannenstiel, Ness City.
Grandparents of the couple are Lowell and Shirley Hixon, Palco, Robert and Joan Gilbert, Plainville, Pete and Grace Schlegel, Ness City, and the late Bill and Vera Pfannenstiel.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Honor attendant was Taylor Hixon, sister of the bride. Matron of honor was Megan Casey, friend of the bride. Attendants were Megan Cavenee, friend of the bride, Amber Pfannenstiel, sister-in-law of the groom, Kendra Pfannenstiel, sister of the bride, Vanessa Owings and Jaclyn Krueger, both friends of the bride. Personal attendant to the bride was Heather Zerr, friend of the bride.
Best man was Trevor Pfannenstiel, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Colby Gantz, Brant Mellies, Wade Gantz, Jay Muller and Drew Traxler, all friends of the groom, and Nick Hixon, brother of the bride.
Ushers were Luke Brin, Matthew Hageman, Nick Mondero and Nick Henning, all friends of the couple.
Flower girls were Paesyn Biel, cousin of the bride, and Brynlee Pfannenstiel, niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Nolan Pfannenstiel, cousin of the groom.
Candlelighters were Lynn Ziegler, cousin of the bride, and Kyle Pfannenstiel, cousin of the groom.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Plainville High School and a 2011 graduate of Fort Hays State University. She is a radiologic technologist at Rooks County Health Center, Plainville.
The bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of Ness City High School and a 2011 graduate of FHSU. He is employed by Nalco Champion Technologies, Hays.
Following a trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the newlyweds are at home in Hays.
