Ryan Andrew Speier and Krystal Lane Holmes, together with their parents, Ron and Sue Speier, Hays, and Randy and Yvonne Holmes, Hanston, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.
Grandparents of the couple are the late Ralph and Loraine Speier, Marvel Skucius, Belleville, the late Harvey Skucius, the late Tracey and Betty Sinclair, and the late Veryl and Irene Holmes.
The bride-elect received a master of science degree from Fort Hays University in community counseling. She is a therapist and community outreach specialist at KVC Prairie Ridge Psychiatric Hospital.
The prospective bridegroom received a master of science degree in clinical social work from Kansas University. He is employed by KVC Hospitals Inc. as the director of administration, based out of the Kansas City Hospital.
A Nov. 17, 2012, wedding is planned at Celebration Community Church, Hays.
