Jim and Lauree Honas and Larry and Mary Parke, all of Hays, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Danielle Honas, to Kevin Peterson, son of Terry and Janice Peterson, Assaria.
Grandparents are Ralph and Julie Honas, Ellis, the late Vernon and Jeanette Gottschalk, the late Harold and Dorothy Peterson, and the late Carl and Gladys Peterson.
The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Ellis High School and a 2007 graduate of Kansas Wesleyan University with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She is a registered nurse/clinical coordinator at Salina Regional Health Center.
The prospective bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Southeast of Saline High School and a 2002 graduate of Salina Area Technical School in machine shop technology. He is a machinist employed at Scientific Engineering.
A Sept. 19, 2009, wedding is planned at Assaria Lutheran Church.
