Ron and Raina Hrabe, Plainville, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Julie Marie Hrabe, to Sandon Ross Slaubaugh, son of Wesley and Esther Slaubaugh, Bogue.

Grandparents are Roger and Kirby Mongeau, Zurich, Karleen Hrabe, Plainville, the late Ronald Hrabe, Edward and Loretta Slaubaugh, Loogootee, Ind., and the late Arthur and Magdalena Knepp.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Plainville High School, a 2006 graduate of Fort Hays State University with an associate's degree and 2007 graduate of North Central Kansas Technical College. She is a pharmacy technician at Unrein Pharmacy, Plainville.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Abeka Academy and a 2006 graduate of NCKTC with an associate's degree. He is a certified crane operator at Hess Services.

An Oct. 18, 2008, wedding is planned at First Christian Church, Plainville.
