James and Geraldine Karns
James and Geraldine Karns, Plainville, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 31 with a reception and card shower hosted by their children from 2 to 4 p.m. at Redbud Village, 1000 S. Washington, Plainville.
Children of the couple are Michelle Karns, Bakersfield, Calif., Maria Simon and husband, Stan, Plainville, Marianne Dix and husband, Alan, Stockton, Martha Blair and husband, Don, Castle Rock Colo., and Melissa Brack and husband, Larry, Hill City.
The couple have 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
James and Geraldine Karns were married Aug. 30, 1958, at Sacred Heart Church, Plainville.
