Cherie (Pitts) Kennedy and Jim Leiker were married Jan. 7, 2012, in Cottonwood Falls with Pastor Young-Gil Bahng officiating.
Parents of the couple are Lynn and Margaret Pitts, Gardner, Betty Leiker, Antonino, Suzanne Kelley, Wichita, and the late Norbert A. Leiker.
The bride was escorted by her father.
The bride is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma. She is a professor of business office technology at Johnson County Community College, Overland Park.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Thomas More Prep-Marian High School, Fort Hays State University and the University of Kansas. He is a professor of history at JCCC, Overland Park.
Following a wedding trip to Maine, the newlyweds are at home in Eudora.
