Godfrey 'Fred' and Lilly Lang

Godfrey "Fred" and Lillie (Augustine) Lang will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Dec. 30, 2012, with a card shower.
Attendants were Norma Augustine and Lawrence Lang. Parents of the couple are the late John M. and Clara Augustine and the late Ignatz Lang Jr. and Rosa Lang.
Lillie Lang is a graphic artist and a member of the Trego County Recreation Commission. Fred Lang served in the U.S. Army during Korea. He then completed his bachelor of education and master of administration degrees at Fort Hays State University. He had several teaching and administration positions until his retirement as principal of WaKeeney Grade School in 1990.
Children of the couple are Dr. Stan Lang and wife, Sheri, DuBois, Pa., Dr. Gordon Lang and wife, Jane, WaKeeney, Trish Langley and husband, Rick, Grand Junction, Colo.; and the late Kathy Connors.
The couple has eight grandchildren, Noel DeGray and husband, Doug, New Haven, Conn., Beth West and husband, Justin, Atchison, Greg Lang, Indianapolis, Dr. Jamie Lang and husband, Dr. Cole Ritchie, Nashville, Tenn., A.J. Langley, Grand Junction, and Maria, Kathrine, and Christopher Lang, Dubois.
The couple has three great-grandchildren, Felicity, Kepha and Samuel West, all of Atchison.
Godfrey "Fred" and Lillie (Augustine) Lang were married Dec. 30, 1952, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis, with Father Virgil officiating.
