LeeRoy and Leota Legleiter, Great Bend, formerly of Hays, will celebrate their 50th anniversary June 21, 2009, with a reception hosted by their children for family and friends.

Children of the couple are Roxann and Kent Keenan, and Lisa and Steve Neeland, all of Great Bend, Karla and Melvin Schartz, Olathe, Colleen and Alan Juergensen, Hutchinson, Kevin and Rebecca Legleiter, Broken Arrow, Okla., Michelle and Chris Schneider, Olmitz, Lori and Brent Coup, Clovis, Calif., and Jill and Rob Nelson, Topeka. The couple have 14 grandchildren.

LeeRoy is retired from the oilfield after 43 years, and Leota is employed by J.C. Penney Co.

LeeRoy Legleiter and Leota Meier were married June 13, 1959, in Hays.
