Johnny and Sherri Matlock, Hays, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Jordan, to Jay Petz, son of Jerome and Tammy Petz, Schoenchen.

Grandparents of the couple are Larry and Eileen Wineland, Hays, Johnny and Lula Belle Matlock, Harrison, Ark., Bob Jarmer and Jeanie Munsch, Great Bend, and Lee and Pat Petz, Ellinwood.

Great-grandmother is Marjorie Wineland, Hays.

The bride-elect is a 2010 graduate of Hays High School and is in the nursing program at Fort Hays State University. She is a phlebotomist at Hays Medical Center.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2009 graduate of HHS and is an accounting major at FHSU. He is a health unit coordinator at HaysMed.

A July 27, 2013, wedding is planned at North Oak Community Church, Hays.
