Don and LaVon McGinnis
Don and LaVon McGinnis, Hays, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 31, 2008, with a reception hosted by their children from 1 to 3 p.m. at Whiskey Creek.
Children of the couple are Pat Hammerschmidt, Myrna McGinnis, Kathy McGinnis, Chuck McGinnis, Mike McGinnis, Tony McGinnis and Barb Herman.
They have seven grandchildren.
Don McGinnis and LaVon Schumacher were married Sept. 1, 1958, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
