Doug and Cindy (Karlin) Nichols, Palco, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Aug. 10, 2009, in Branson, Mo., with a reception and dinner.

Children of the couple are Monte and Angie Nichols, Cypress, Texas, Roy and Nicole Robles, San Diego, Brandon and Heather Nichols, Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Bryan and Mary Nichols, Kansas City, Mo.

The couple have seven grandchildren, Farra, Natalie, Ellen and Abby Nichols, Cole and Chase Nichols, and Braydon Nichols.

Doug and Cindy (Karlin) Nichols were married June 7, 1969, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays.
