Dan and Coleen Pickett, Longmont, Colo., announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Jamie Pickett, to Drew Davis, son of Steve and Brenda Davis, Castle Rock, Colo.

Grandparents of the couple are Joy Pickett, Las Vegas, Geri Davis, Centralia, Ill., Mary and John Ed Meurer, Melbourne, Fla., the late Bennie and Minnie Lang, the late Harry Pickett, and the late Fred Davis.

The bride-elect grew up in Quinter and graduated from Stockton High School and the University of Kansas, Lawrence, with a degree in architectural design. She is employed in the Denver metro area.

The prospective bridegroom is from Castle Rock and graduated from Douglas County High School and Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colo., with a degree in economics. He is employed in the Denver metro area.

A Sept. 28, 2012, mountain wedding is planned in Grand Lake, Colo.
