Douglas and Adele Rich, Hays, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Jessica Marie Rich, to Troy Daniel Basgall, son of Daniel and Linda Basgall, Hays.

Grandparents of the couple are the late Roman and Adele Kuchar, Keith and Janet Hubbard, Wichita, the late William Rich, the late Alvin W. Dinkel and Irene M. Dinkel, and the late Jerome and Regina Basgall.

The bride-elect is a student at North Central Kansas Technical College majoring in nursing. She is a patient care technician at Hays Medical Center.

The prospective bridegroom is an equipment operator for the city of Hays.

An Aug. 14, 2010, wedding is planned at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays.
