Ken and Peggy Richmeier, Hays, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Saturday with a reception and dinner at Munjor Parish Hall.
The couple also celebrated with a special anniversary Mass and reception with the Most Rev. Edward J. Weisenburger, Bishop of Salina Diocese, on Aug. 18 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays.
The celebration was followed with a family dinner at Rooftops, hosted by their children and families.
Children of the couple are Jeff and Wendy Richmeier, Hays, Doug and Renee Richmeier, Great Bend, Julie Richmeier-Werth, Hays, and Donovan and Kristy Richmeier, La Crosse.
The couple has 10 grandchildren.
Ken and Peggy (Zelfer) Richmeier were married Sept. 9, 1972, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Peter.
