Rick and Kim Riffel, Phillipsburg, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Alexa Anne Riffel, to Brandon Joseph Beebe, son of John and Diana Haley, Basehor.

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of the University of Kansas. She is employed at TFI Family Services, Topeka.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2009 graduate of the University of Kansas. He is employed by Target, Lawrence.

A Dec. 5, 2009, wedding is planned at Danforth Chapel on the University of Kansas campus, Lawrence.
