Robben-Heffel
Jim and Crystal Robben, Victoria, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Kristen Robben, to Ryan Heffel, son of David and Ruth Heffel, Hays.
Grandparents of the couple are Norbert and Donna Robben, Topeka, the late Theresa Robben, JoAnn Berens, Rogers, Ark., the late Larry Berens, Menno Heffel, Osborne, the late Laverne Heffel and the late Shirley and D. Wallace Robinson. Great-grandparents are Sophie Berens, Hays, and Josephine Robben, Victoria.
The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Victoria High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Kansas with a bachelor of science. She is pursuing a doctorate of physical therapy at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
The prospective bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of Hays High School and attended Fort Hays State University. He is a pre-pharmacy student at KU majoring in chemistry.
A May 30, 2009, wedding is planned in Estes Park, Colo.
