Stephanie Marie Schaffer and Tom Austin Howie were married Oct. 19, 2013, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Munjor, with the Rev. Daryl Olmstead officiating.
Parents of the couple are Will and Margaret Schaffer, Hoxie, and Kenneth and Leslie Howie, Fort Collins, Colo.
Grandparents of the couple are Paul and Ruby Binder, Hays, the late William and Marie Schaffer, the late Catharine Howie and the late Richard and Helen Berkfield.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Matron of honor was Tami Chievous, sister of the bride. Attendant was Summer Gault, friend of the bride, and junior bridesmaid was Malia Chievous, niece of the bride.
Best man was Justin Howie, brother of the groom. Ringbearer was Aven Chievous, nephew of the bride. Ushers were Derrick Chievous, brother-in-law of the bride, and Bob Hoffmeyer, friend of the groom.
The bride is a 1993 graduate of Hoxie High School and a 2000 graduate of Fort Hays State University with a master's degree in exercise physiology. She is employed as fitness director at HaysMed's Center for Health Improvement.
The bridegroom is a 1993 graduate of Poudre High School, and a 1997 graduate of Regis University, Denver, with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He is self-employed as owner and operator of Tom Howie Construction.
Following a wedding trip to Hawaii, the newlyweds are at home in Hays.
