Schippers-Wilhelm

Charlie and Joan Schippers, Hays, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Kayla Schippers, to Kellen Wilhelm, son of Dale and Glenda Wilhelm, Seneca.

Grandparents are Mike and Mary Schamberger, and George Schippers.

The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Hays High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Kansas with a bachelor's degree in exercise science. She is attending KU Medical Center and plans to graduate in May with a doctorate of physical therapy.

The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Nemaha Valley High School and a 2004 graduate of Johnson County Community College with an associate's degree in applied science. He is an electrical technician at Davin Electric, Topeka.

A Sept. 13, 2008, wedding is planned at St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church, Hays.
