Michael and Cheryl Schmeidler, Hays, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Stephanie Louise Schmeidler, to Daniel Jerome Schneider, son of Robert and Kathy Schneider, Olmitz.

The bride-elect is a 2009 graduate of Thomas More Prep-Marian High School and will obtain a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Fort Hays State University in May.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2007 graduate of Hoisington High School and a 2012 graduate of FHSU with a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics and secondary education. He is employed as a math teacher at Great Bend High School and as an assistant wrestling coach at Hoisington High School.

A May 11, 2013, wedding is planned at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria.
