Jim and Barb Sluyter, Herman, Neb., announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Katie Sluyter, to Trevor Shaw, son of Randy and Adeana Shaw, Two Buttes, Colo.
The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Tekamah-Herman High School and a 2008 graduate of Fort Hays State University. She is employed at First National Bank, Hugoton.
The bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of Springfield High School and a 2008 graduate of FHSU. He is employed at Oneok Natural Gas Co., Hugoton.
An Aug. 31, 2008, wedding is planned at First United Methodist Church, Blair, Neb.
