Don and Jeane Smith
Don and Jeane Smith will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Nov. 1, 2008, with a reception hosted by their children from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Union Pacific Depot, Manhattan. In lieu of gifts, guests are invited to bring photos and stories to be added to a memory scrapbook.
Children of the couple are Richard Smith, Linda Duncan and Janet Walter. The couple have eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He is a retired telephone repeaterman with Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. She is a retired accountant for Kansas State University.
Don and Jeane Smith were married Oct. 31, 1948, in Hays.
