Jim and Lynn Southard, Pratt, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Stephanie Southard, to John Godfrey, son of Leroy and Redeara Godfrey, Anthony.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Pratt High School and is attending Kansas State University, with a degree in biology and pursuing a degree in clinical laboratory sciences.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Northern Valley High School. He is a student at Fort Hays State University, majoring in information networking and telecommunications, justice studies and pre-law.

A Sept. 19, 2009, wedding is planned at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pratt.
