Jude and Rachel Stecklein, Sylvan Grove, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Kimberly Sue Stecklein, to Chad Joseph Stoecklein, son of Eldon and Mary Stoecklein, Hays.

Grandparents are Sophie Stecklein and Eugene and Kathy Rohr, all of Hays, the late Jacob Stecklein, Earl and Vada Stoecklein, and Ervin and Helen Koerner, all of Ness City.

The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Sylvan Grove High School and a 2009 graduate of Fort Hays State University with a bachelor's degree in speech pathology. She is pursuing a master's degree in special education.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Thomas More Prep-Marian High School. He is pursuing a bachelor's degree in graphic design at FHSU. He is a photo lab specialist at Wal-Mart SuperCenter, Hays.

An Oct. 10, 2009, wedding is planned at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays.
