Melvin and Janice Stoppel, Russell, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 24 with family and friends. They plan to take a Hawaiian cruise in November.
They have three children, Brenda, Melissa and Keith. They have five grandchildren, Julie, Dustin, Emily, Amanda and Abby.
Melvin Stoppel and Janice Truan were married July 23, 1960, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Russell.
